With ribbon mics, tube preamps, and large diaphragm condenser mics, we meticulously sampled the entire fretboard, at 3-5 unique velocities. We did that with pizzicato, tremolo, long sweeping tones, unpredictable arpeggios, and short staccato hits. Each note is unique, each velocity is unique.
