Its crystal clear sound was better for emulating acoustic instruments than earlier analog synths, and while modern samplers have far surpassed it in that area, there is still something wonderfully special about the DX7's own unique character. Also, since programming it was incredibly difficult, the preset sounds were more often than not the \u003cem\u003eexact\u003c\/em\u003e sounds used in some of the most famous recordings of all time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eDX∞ Aliased Orchestra Set consists of 103 patches and 2.3GB of audio painstakingly sampled through vintage UTC isolation transformers and state-of-the-art Lynx conversion. It is an odd collection of orchestral brass, strings, and percussions recorded from a peculiarly aliased sounding DX7S that we had on hand (our other DX7 libraries were recorded from a pristine original DX7).
